1. Who we are

Hoodoo University is a member-supported school for the study, practice, and preservation of the Hoodoo tradition. These terms govern your use of hoodoouniversity.com, our courses, the Congo Square community, and the Demonstration Lab.

By creating an account or enrolling in a course, you agree to these terms.

2. Educational nature of the content

All courses, demonstrations, lectures, and community content are provided for educational, cultural, and historical purposes. We teach the history and practice of the Hoodoo tradition as an African American folk practice.

Nothing on this site is medical, legal, financial, or psychological advice. No specific outcome is promised or guaranteed from any teaching or practice.

3. Accounts and eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or enroll. You are responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials confidential and for all activity under your account.

4. Membership, courses, and payment

Student Membership and Posh AlchemyZ Circle Membership are billed monthly or yearly and renews automatically until you cancel. Individual courses purchased à la carte are one-time purchases with ongoing access for as long as the course remains published.

The Demonstration Lab Pass is an add-on to an active membership and renews on the same cycle. Prices are listed in US dollars and may change with notice; changes apply to the next billing cycle, never retroactively.

You can cancel your membership at any time to stop future billing. Access ends immediately when you cancel, and the current paid period is not refundable.

6. Community conduct (Congo Square)

Congo Square is a learning community. Be respectful. Harassment, hate speech, spam, solicitation outside designated spaces, and sharing another member's private posts or personal information are grounds for removal without refund.

Content you post remains yours, but you grant us a license to display it within the community. We may remove content that violates these terms.

7. Intellectual property

All course materials, videos, ledgers, and site content are the property of Hoodoo University and are for your personal study only. Do not record, redistribute, resell, or teach from our materials without written permission.

8. Disclaimers and limits

The site and its content are provided as is. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Hoodoo University is not liable for indirect or consequential damages, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months before the claim.

9. Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced by email or on the site, and continued use after the effective date means you accept them.
