DISCLAIMERS

The fine print, in plain language. Last updated September 2026.

Educational & spiritual nature

All courses, demonstrations, lectures, and community content are offered for educational, cultural, and historical purposes — the study and preservation of Hoodoo as an African American folk practice.

Nothing we teach or publish is medical, legal, financial, psychological, or religious counseling advice. Always consult a licensed professional for those matters.

Digital delivery — all sales final

All Hoodoo University products — memberships, courses, the Demonstration Lab Pass, and downloadable or streaming materials — are delivered electronically. Nothing is shipped.

Because access is granted immediately upon purchase, all products are non-refundable once delivered. This is stated at checkout and agreed to at the time of purchase.

Subscriptions may be canceled at any time to stop future billing; access ends immediately when you cancel. Cancellation does not create a refund for the current period.

Technical issues — report within 48 hours

If you experience a technical problem — a video that won't play, an access error, a failed login, or a missing lesson — report it within 48 hours of the issue occurring.

Our remedy for technical issues is to restore or correct your access (replacement of the content or extension of the affected access period). Because all products are delivered electronically, technical issues are not grounds for a monetary refund beyond the terms in our Refund Policy.

Report issues through your student dashboard or the contact address in the site footer.

Limitation of liability

You assume full responsibility for the use — and any results of the use — of anything taught, demonstrated, or sold through Hoodoo University, including poisonous or toxic botanicals, herbs, baths, candles, oils, and any ritual or folk practice shown in our materials.

Educational content regarding poisonous or toxic plants is provided for historical and identification purposes only; some botanical materials are hazardous if handled or ingested, and others can cause allergic reactions or interact with medications; never ingest or apply anything without independent research and, where relevant, guidance from your physician. Keep all ritual materials away from children and pets, and never leave candles or open flames unattended.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Hoodoo University, its faculty, and its readers are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from your use of our products, content, or services, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months before the claim.

Results not guaranteed

Testimonials, examples, and community posts you see are individual experiences, not promises. Learning outcomes, spiritual experiences, and personal results vary from person to person.
